Notice: O Week Ideas

Since it will probably take a while for us to get organised enough to actually meet (in the flesh as it were), I thought it might be a good idea to start throwing around ideas/plans etc. for Orientation Week (13th - 17th Feb).

I tried to book our stall, but the person incharge of that was away, so I will have to chase that up this week. But other than that it is just a matter of deciding what, (if anything), we want to do.

Heya, as usual I can provide a stall display. Though I'm thinking of making a change from the usual gallery of tiny heads...

Other than that I do have an idea but it should be discussed in a less public forum.

So basically for the moment I've got nothing of any note. When is O-week anyway?

I agree we need to get together in private to hatch some sort of scheme.

When where how why? No, I know why; Rowan told me last year.

Unfortunatley I've learned that my presence will be impeded at O-week this year for a day or two. So I won't be there for the monday at least. I'll still make a stall display and have Ming pass it on though....

As for ideas maybe we could conduct a Foucaultian experiment? The proposal is to make a database of measurements of people at O-week. The suggestion is that we get Rowan to dress up in a white lab coat, give him a slide rule and have him wander around measuring people's noses for inclusion in our survey the data from which can be correlated daily back at the stall. Of course different classifications of nose lengths will be needed so that we can then pass normalising judgements about the "just and proper length for the human nose"....
